Uzbekistan and China signed a statement on comprehensive strategic partnership on 22 June 2016.
The document was signed in the result of the negotiations of the President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov and President of China Xi Jinping.
The document will lift relations between Uzbekistan and China to the level of strategic.
The sides also inked seven document, envisaging development of technical-economic, investment, foreign political cooperation, mutual trade, as well as credit agreement for over US$200 million in oil and transport sector.
